12th Annual Grand Prix Plein Air Challenge

10:00am - 2:00pm

Cost (includes tax): Adults: $35; 19 and under: $20

In this traditional four hour Plein Air painting competition, painters must originate, paint, complete and frame a painting that has been created outdoors in just four hours. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Participating artists will be painting in the areas surrounding the Ferry Building Gallery and Ambleside Pier, between 13th and 18th Streets along the waterfront. Works will be judged and prizes donated by Opus Art Supplies will be awarded. The top 12 artists will be invited to participate in the British Pacific Properties Paint on the Mountain Plein Air Challenge on Sunday, August 4.

*Artists must pre-register at the Ferry Building Gallery, by phone at 604-925-7270 (course #63225) or online.

Cost includes morning coffee and muffins and a wine and cheese reception after the judging.
